Prof Gerald Midgley is back next month with Dr John Ingram, exploring systems thinking in practice, through the issue of how to integrate more pulses into the food system. Gerald and John will use the example of the BeansMeal project to show why thinking about the wider system is so important for creating large-scale change in diets and food production. Read John’s beans report, which he wrote as an AFN Champion last year.
WEBINAR: GHG emissions under conservation grazing – evidence gaps and research needs

This webinar is organised by Natural England, which has recently published a report on GHG emissions under conservation grazing, and which found a lack of data from appropriate semi-natural habitats.This work has identified a vital knowledge gap that Natural England is keen to address through further research. UK EXPERTS: Call for experts to draft the IPCC 7th Assessment Report
The Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change’s (IPCC) is calling for the nomination of UK experts to draft the outline of the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7). A scoping meeting is tentatively scheduled for December 2024. See more here.
