Jez Fredenburgh

Knowledge Exchange Fellow

Jez is our Knowledge Exchange Fellow based at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, at the University of East Anglia. She works with Prof Neil Ward to investigate the research gaps holding the agri-food system back from a net zero transition, and manages the network’s flagship webinar programme, Digests of the latest research and politics, Briefings on key topics, and other activities. She plays a central role in connecting people and organisations and chairs many panels and discussions outside of AFN too.

She is also an agri-food journalist and communications consultant, with 10 years+ experience reporting across the UK and abroad. She has written for Farmers Weekly, Farmers Guardian, BBC Future and National Geographic among others, and worked as a communications consultant and editor for the Sustainable Food Trust (SFT), Grantham Institute for Climate Change Research (Imperial College), Food Farming and Countryside Commission, Soil Association, WWF and the Prince’s Countryside Fund. She co-edited the SFT’s flagship food transformation report, Feeding Britain.

She sits on the board of the Norfolk & Suffolk Agri-food Industry Council, and the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association’s committee for young people.
