Key findings
An analysis of the surveys led to the selection of 38 Innovators and supporters of Innovation, the Innovation Cohort (IC), and identifying key activities and positive indicators to develop a Community of Practice with this emergent IC.
There is a clear call for change with more learning & skills, funding and policy change, a national community of practice and local peer-to-peer engagement. Specific opportunities have been identified to help build a national community of practice, and for the Falkland Stewardship Trust (FST) as a regional hub within that.
Recommendations
To move forward with this call for change, there is a recommendation for a pathfinder programme to develop a framework and budgeted work-plan for a Scotland-wide Community of Practice for Regenerative Agriculture (RegenAg) and Sustainable Local Food Systems (SLFS), and a further recommendation for FST to develop effectively as a regional hub. Both recommendations are supported by a series of opportunities identified and developed within the report.
