I come from a farming family and have a strong interest in climate and nature justice whilst protecting our food security and the wellbeing of farmers. I studied engineering at university, have spent time volunteering to help look after animals, and I support a wide range of campaigns. In my spare time I enjoy going for a walk, run or kayak, playing games, and watching ice hockey.

Particular interests: peatland management and restoration, biodiversity, agroecology, agricultural support payments, small-scale and local food systems, land use framework.
I recently joined the University of Glasgow as Research Associate on a LUNZ project on Rapid Engagement with Stressed Peatland Environments and Communities in Transformation [RESPECT]. My background is in law (environmental law, agricultural law, private law, land reform) and I have spent a number of years working in Scottish policy and as an international legal consultant on topics such as land, agriculture, food, biodiversity and biosafety.

Senior Lecturer in Farming Systems | UWE Bristol
I research just transitions in agroecology, carbon trading, and the role of lived experience in knowledge mobilisation. Currently, I am a Just Transitions Champion at the AFN Network+, and I am on secondment with the Wales Centre for Public Policy as an ESRC Policy Innovation Fellow, supporting the What Works Network in exploring how experts-by-experience contribute to policy research. My work aligns with SDGs 2, 8, and 12, focusing on food security, ethical labour practices, and sustainable consumption.
