On-farm Greenhouse Gas measuring and analytics

About me

I work with the agri-food supply chain and farm consultants to provide licensed access to Agrecalc's cloud-based carbon calculator platform. My role involves helping businesses across the supply chain and advisors onboard to Agrecalc Cloud, enabling them to measure and manage farm portfolios and carbon emissions at the farm level. I guide users through the setup process, provide training, and offer ongoing support to ensure they have the tools needed to turn farm data into actionable insights. If you are calculating CO2e emissions at the farm gate or managing large portfolios of farms, please get in touch for more details.

Collaborative decarbonisation of the UK agricultural-sector

About me

Clo Carbon Cymru designs climate mitigation technologies and progressive land-use systems that facilitate the creation of collaborative localised economic models between farmers and local communities. These economic models are designed around the concept of ‘Carbon-Insetting' - interventions along a company’s value chain that are designed to generate GHG emission reductions and carbon storage, and at the same time create positive impacts for farmers, communities, landscapes and ecosystems. INSETTING INTERVENTIONS are typically based on new systems of farming carbon and agroforestry programmes both at farm level and through collaboration with local communities. These interventions allow companies to achieve corporate sustainability goals, whilst building climate resilience and supply chain stability at the heart of their operations, future proofing their businesses, and improving the quality of raw materials. Clo Carbon Cymru makes regular contributions to the IPCC Article 6.4 Supervisory Body, tasked with the development of frameworks where carbon dioxide removal activities become accepted as a key element of the effort to achieve net-zero. The company is also a member of The Life Cycle Initiative, hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) that promotes Life Cycle knowledge, revealing the unintended trade-offs between the social, environmental, and economic impacts of circular approaches

Projects linking food with physical and mental health for students, and around food justice for students, i.e. students in universities and colleges having access to nutritious, safe, and culturally appropriate food that has been produced in a fair and sustainable way. Also very interested in furthering our work on supporting a just transition to agroecology for farms on university and college owned land.

About me

Since 2016 I have worked on many projects at SOS-UK including supporting the establishment of 65 student-led social enterprises selling sustainable food on HE & FE campuses, supporting campus food growing initiatives, organising farm visits for students, and working on a just transition to agroecology with farmers on university and college owned land. The aim is for all students to have access to nutritious, safe, and culturally appropriate food that has been produced in a fair and sustainable way. I am a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and have an MA in Sustainable Development Advocacy. Outside of work I am a Director of Stockwood Community Benefit Society, a community-owned organic and biodynamic farm and business park in Worcestershire; and on the Council of Trustees for Sustain, the alliance for better food and farming.
