I am interested in working with other members on
Holistic assessment of effectiveness and viability of solutions towards improved agri-food system sustainability, using state-of-the-art and novel life cycle based and stakeholder-centric approaches. I am also interested in exploring questions involving more fundamental science, for example around the evolution of land use related impacts and land system dynamics as a consequence of anthropogenic activity and environmental pressures.
About me
Dr Georgios Pexas is a Lecturer in Environmental Sustainability Assessment at the Cranfield Environment Centre, Cranfield University. An environmental biologist by training, has undertaken MSc and PhD studies in geoinformatics and life cycle assessment for production systems in the primary sector. His research vision in Cranfield is to advance theory and methods for holistic, dynamic, and spatiotemporally relevant sustainability assessment, such as enhancing consequential Life Cycle Assessment frameworks through integration with novel modelling approaches powered by artificial intelligence. To achieve this, his work focuses on diverse case-studies within the food, water, energy, transportation, and service-provision nexuses.
