About me
Dr. Wisdom Dogbe is an applied agricultural economist at the Rowett Institute, University of Aberdeen. His research focuses on evaluating policies for the food sector, particularly those aimed at improving sustainability, health, and climate outcomes. Wisdom holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics (Sustainability) from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and dual MSc degrees in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Policy Analysis from the University of Bonn and Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He also earned a BSc in Agricultural Science (Economics) from the University of Ghana. He has published extensively on topics such as fiscal policies for healthier diets, carbon taxes for climate-friendly food consumption, and market opportunities for sustainable crops like hemp. Wisdom contributes to the Scottish Government’s Strategic Research Programme on Food, Health and Wellbeing, supporting efforts to achieve sustainable and healthy diets.
