Valorisation of waste - from agricultural production (e.g. unused biomass), food processing (e.g. seeds, peels, husks), spoiled crop and resulting municipal waste. Chemical analysis of all stages for active ingredients, contamination and diversity assessment

About me

Extensive, and diverse, experience using organic/medicinal and analytical chemistry to identify novel solutions to societal challenges e.g. development of new crop protection agents from agricultural waste. I am the Programme Director for the MSc in Drug Chemistry and the Lead on Sustainability for Chemistry at Newcastle.
