Understanding key opportunities and barriers in law, policy and governance to supporting the agriculture and food sectors in the journey towards Net Zero. Particular interests: peatland management and restoration, biodiversity, agroecology, agricultural support payments, small-scale and local food systems, land use framework.

About me

I recently joined the University of Glasgow as Research Associate on a LUNZ project on Rapid Engagement with Stressed Peatland Environments and Communities in Transformation [RESPECT]. My background is in law (environmental law, agricultural law, private law, land reform) and I have spent a number of years working in Scottish policy and as an international legal consultant on topics such as land, agriculture, food, biodiversity and biosafety.
