About me

I am a broadly trained plant physiologist investigating how plants respond to changing environmental conditions at both leaf and enzyme levels, focusing on photosynthesis and its role in improving crop performance. I aim to understand how plants adapt to stresses like elevated carbon dioxide levels, temperature fluctuations, and drought. By studying photosynthetic responses in model, crop, and ecologically significant species, I seek to uncover natural mechanisms that help plants endure environmental extremes. My research translates this understanding into strategies to optimize photosynthesis and enhance crop resilience, contributing to sustainable agricultural practices in a rapidly changing climate, and focussed on both arable and protected crops.
