About me

Sara works in the sustainable livestock team at Bristol vet school as a PhD researcher at The University of Bristol and part time at Pasture for Life within their research team. She also farms with her family in North Yorkshire. Working within a multidisciplinary team and in co-trial with the The Sustainable Food Trust's Global Farm Metric she uses an integrated approach to measure multiple indicators of on farm sustainability (environmental, animal welfare and socio-economic impacts) across UK dairy production systems. The research is conducted in the field, working with both intensive and extensive dairy farmers and hopes to gain improved understanding of the pathways towards sustainability for dairy production in the UK.
