About me

I am a lecturer and researcher in animal farming systems, which includes improving farmed animal welfare, husbandry, sustainable animal breeding & feeding, enhancing farmer wellbeing & promoting nature friendly farm management, with a research focus on the social sciences and qualitative research methodologies. I am also a veterinarian so have interests in improving animal health and reducing medicine use along with other unnecessary inputs. I completed my PhD at the University of Bristol on a participatory approach to reducing antimicrobial use with UK dairy farmers, where I became a trained action facilitator. I then worked in knowledge exchange for Innovation for Agriculture for 3 years gaining valuable project management experience working on international projects. I am now working at the RAU in Cirencester and live in Bristol. I enjoy mountain biking, yoga and spending time at my allotment learning about soil and funghi.
